The Transhumance Sheep Festival

In days of old, sheep were marched through town after town on their way to cooler pastures for the summer, a process called the transhumance. They now go by truck but the tradition lives on in the annual transhumance festival. This is where thousands of sheep march through town, accompanied by shepherds, sheepdogs, and the occasional goat.
