One of the pleasures of any trip to Provence is the food, and the region is full of wonderful restaurants. My wife and I live part of the year in St-Rémy-de-Provence and enjoy exploring new places to eat. I’ve made a list of some of our favorites in and around St-Rémy–you can read all about them at Perfectly Provence!
Loved meeting up with you and Val last year before the Transhumance. I can see why Brasserie les Variétés is one of your favourites. It was excellent!
I guess we’ll just have to do it again!
Thanks for sharing Keith, we love your restaurant list. And, the best part is there are a few we MUST try 🙂
I hope you enjoy them!
Hi Keith! I’m looking for new places to try and was wondering if any one of these restaurants in particular you would pick if you could only go to just one. Maybe one in St. Remy or Maussane or the hotel in Baux. They all look wonderful! Thanks so much!
Hi Cheryl! Well, that’s a tough question. If budget is not a limit, then the best restaurant is definitely l’Atelier in Arles but I think of it as more of a special-occasion place because it is not cheap. For more “normal” restaurants I would say either Clos St-Roch in Maussane for the food or Ô Caprices de Mathias in St-Rémy for both the food and setting. When I say setting, I mean sitting on their patio looking at the Alpilles and maybe spotting the horse and donkey in the field next door (this only works if the weather is appropriate). Hope that helps!
Perfect! I like the idea of food and setting. It sounds wonderful! Thank you.
